April 21, 2020 at 9:44 pmI definitely think card games more fun than any video game i ever played the main problem is that i find is that no one wants to play any card games and im usually stuck playing solitaire. Especially since school is out due to COVID-19 i can’t play card games with my friends at school anymore.

February 20, 2017 at 4:17 amPlaying card games certainly does help me alleviate stress. Furthermore, for the past year I have been dabbling with card tricks and flourishes, which has helped me dramatically with anxiety. The other night a had an attack and calmed down fairly quickly after playing with cards. Maybe it’s magic!

February 24, 2017 at 6:05 amBelieve it or not, a few hands of blackjack or various types of poker help me. Adding numbers or comparing symbols kind of disrupts the stress mode. Logic over blind panic.

February 11, 2017 at 6:02 pmAs a child, my father started teaching me to play poker. Mind you we never played for any stakes other than fun.
A long time back after he died, I found myself buying decks of cards just for stress relief. Even if there is no one around, I have decks handy just to shuffle, deal out a few hands of 21 or various forms of Poker. I have Tarot decks, plastic decks, paper decks… various themes like Green Lanter, hemp, zombies…
The thing is, the shuffling gives my hands something to do, the soft flutter of cards combining in ways I’ll never repeat are two things that relieve my stress.
Be it KEM, Modiano, ACE, Bicycle, Stud, or the recognition cards I picked up in the Army, for decades playing cards have helped me relieve my stress. Play on people.

October 2, 2017 at 10:11 pmI will highly recommend learning things such as a farrow shuffle, and such things like that. Get into magic too! It’s tons of fun and makes your hands learn to do a lot of different things! Very calming trust me.

January 9, 2017 at 5:09 amI take a lot of what’s written with a grain of salt, but this article here is the gospel truth. Since a lot has been denied academically card games have been a way to relieve stress and develop reasoning skills in my opinion. Yea, even though competitive card playing was serious business in my family

May 20, 2016 at 12:34 pmI used playing cards to perform my magic and to play games. It is a relief that playing cards can ALSO relieve stress!

January 9, 2017 at 5:21 amI’ve always only considered the reasoning development of playing card games Whist in particular. My families are competitive Whist players I was taught by my mother at an early age when I say early I mean very early. It was stressful but I learned to relieve the stress by learning to read the cards as much as a kid of my age at the time could. I now understand my mother was using cards as a tool in my development. So it comes as a relief to me also that playing can ALSO relieve stress!
